Job description

We are looking for a rigorous, technically minded engineer to join our Product Development team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a Test Engineer, you will build and own the systems, procedures, and data that drive product decisions.This role sits at the intersection of engineering discipline and hands-on problem solving. You will collaborate closely with design engineers, own your test programs end to end, and apply statistical and reliability thinking to bring clarity to complex development challenges. Our Colorado Springs office is minutes from singletrack and offers more than 300 sunny days a year. Responsibilities

  • Independently develop test plans, procedures, and methods for mechanical testing of SRAM products
  • Collaborate with engineers to design, build, manage, and continuously improve automated development test systems for mechatronic devices
  • Characterize product behavior, analyze test data, and communicate results to support product development
  • Resolve complex engineering issues associated with testing
  • Apply statistics and reliability principles to develop test plansIndependently write, review, and release test proceduresIncorporate continuous improvement concepts, systems, and tools into daily workPerform other duties as assigned, Leads bike computer hardware products from concept through commercialization, defining strategy, requirements, positioning, go-to-market plans, and lifecycle management. Partners with Engineering, Industrial Design, Sales, Marketing, and external customers; supports technical selling, training, product education, demand planning, reporting, and profitability analysis. Requires strong product development, marketing, negotiation, communication, and technical skills, with domestic and international travel up to 40% and customer-facing bicycle demonstrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in mechanical test execution and issue management
  • Experience with mechatronic and sensing technologies
  • Experience with electronics, PCBAs, and firmware/software (preferred, not required)
  • TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Mechanical testing
  • Python (application development, scripting, and modules)
