Job description
- Full Lifecycle Development: Lead software development lifecycle (SDLC) projects, including performance analysis, design, development, and testing. Support Agile estimation and development ceremonies. \n
- Maintenance & Support: Provide configuration and custom development support for ongoing perfective maintenance (enhancements) and corrective maintenance (bug fixes). Analyze user stories and provide Level of Effort (LOE) estimates for System Change Requests (SCRs). \n
- System Integration & Data Migration: Configure and integrate applications with systems like Microsoft Office 365. Develop and execute data loading, validation, and migration scripts for facility-related data and “as-builts.” \n
- Web Services Development: Write integrated web services code to interface with external systems across DHS and partner agencies. \n
- Architecture & Performance Tuning: Participate in application architecture decisions and lead performance tuning efforts. \n
- UI/UX & Responsive Design: Utilize UI/UX prototyping, visual design, and handoff tools to ensure seamless user experiences. Implement Responsive Web Design (RWD) across platforms and maintain browser independence. \n
- Database Management: Provide database support and data fixes for large, complex government databases containing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Security Sensitive Information (SSI). \n
- AutoCAD Integration: Apply polylines to AutoCAD floor plans and ensure .dwg files load error-free into the enterprise platform. \n
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical, executive-level government officials and management teams. \n
- Corporate Contribution: Participate in Metric5 corporate growth initiatives and team activities.\n
Requirements
- Overall Experience: Minimum of 8 years of IT experience working as a senior developer or technology expert on large, complex business systems. \n
- Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with IBM TRIRIGA or IBM Maximo is required. \n
- Core Technical Stack: 5+ years of experience with Oracle Database, Java/J2EE, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools. \n
- Data Security: 5+ years of experience developing and managing complex government databases containing PII/SSI. \n
- Database Design: Proven hands-on experience with relational database management system (RDBMS) design and development. \n

UI/UX & Web Development: \n \n
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. \n
- Experience with front-end frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, Materialize). \n
- Experience with asynchronous JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS or AngularJS). \n

Knowledge of asset bundlers (Webpack, Grunt, Gulp) and CSS preprocessors (Sass/SCSS). \n \n
- DevOps & Tools: Experience with Git for version control and containerization/environment tools (Docker, Vagrant, or Apache Mesos).\n, nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.\n
