Senior IBM Maximo Application Suite Technical Engineer

TekFive is seeking an experienced Senior IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) Technical Engineer to support NASA Enterprise operations. This role serves as the technical lead for the IBM Maximo Application Suite platform, providing architecture guidance, implementation expertise, and operational support for a secure, scalable, and highly available Enterprise environment.

The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise in IBM Maximo Application Suite, Linux administration, Enterprise integrations, automation scripting, reporting technologies, and containerized deployments using OpenShift. This position works closely with leadership, stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure platform reliability and compliance with Enterprise standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and ongoing administration of IBM Maximo Application Suite.
• Design and implement Enterprise-scale Maximo architecture supporting multiple organizations and sites.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, JavaScript, XML, and JSON.
• Configure and support the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), including REST API integrations.
• Design secure Enterprise integration architectures and implement authentication and API management standards.
• Define integration messaging, monitoring, logging, and error-handling strategies.
• Configure and administer Maximo Mobile, including Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations.
• Configure applications using the Maximo Application Framework (MAF).
• Manage user synchronization between Maximo Application Suite and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Develop and support BIRT reports and Microsoft Power BI dashboards.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Enterprise data segregation requirements.
• Perform data modeling to support Business Intelligence reporting initiatives.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based Maximo environments.
• Support containerized deployments using Red Hat OpenShift.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for scalability, availability, and performance.
• Prepare technical documentation and present project status and technical solutions to executive leadership, management, and customer organizations.
• Manage technical issues and change requests using Jira Service Management or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with Enterprise architects, developers, cybersecurity teams, and vendors to deliver integrated solutions., Join a team supporting critical NASA Enterprise systems that enable mission success. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience administering and engineering IBM Maximo environments.
• Extensive experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
• Advanced knowledge of:

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information to executive leadership and technical teams.
• Experience using Jira Service Management or similar issue tracking systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting NASA or other Federal Government Enterprise environments.
• Experience designing Enterprise-scale integration architectures.
• Experience with MAS licensing and large-scale deployments.
• Experience with High Availability (HA), performance tuning, and observability tools.
• Experience with IBM TRIRIGA and/or Maximo Real Estate and Facilities (MREF).
• IBM Certified Deployment Professional.
• IBM Certified Administrator.
• Active or previously held U.S. Government security clearance (preferred)., * How may years of hands-on experience do you have supporting IBM Maximo Environments?
• Do you have hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS8.x/9.x)?
• How much hands-on experience do you have with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF)?
• Have you personally performed installation, configuration, upgrades, patching or troubleshooting of Maximo Application Suite?
• Describe your hands-on Linux experience supporting enterprise applications.
• What is your level of experience supporting applications deployed in RedHat Openshift or similar platforms?
• This position may require a Security Clearance. Are you able to obtain and hold a Government Security Clearance?
