IT Configuration Operative

As an IT Hardware Configuration Operative, your duties may include:

• Unpacking, moving, configuring and repacking IT equipment
• Working with laptops, PCs, servers and other hardware
• Installing and upgrading basic PC components, including RAM and SSD/HDD storage drives
• Carrying out general IT configuration and hardware preparation tasks
• Following technical work instructions and processes accurately
• Updating spreadsheets and maintaining accurate records
• Handling and lifting IT equipment safely
• Supporting general warehouse duties when required
• Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe
• Working as part of a team to meet daily requirements

Quest Employment are currently recruiting for a reliable and detail-focused IT Hardware Configuration Operative to join a busy warehouse and IT configuration operation based in Lutterworth, LE17.

This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse experience who is confident working with laptops, PCs and IT equipment. The role will involve unpacking, moving, configuring and repacking IT hardware, while following technical instructions accurately.

Reliability is essential for this role due to the training involved, so we are looking for someone committed, punctual and looking for a stable opportunity., * Have previous warehouse or logistics experience

• Have basic IT hardware knowledge
• Are comfortable working with PCs, laptops and IT equipment
• Have experience carrying out simple hardware upgrades or repairs, desirable
• Can follow technical instructions accurately
• Have excellent spoken and written English
• Have good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Have strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Are confident using Microsoft Excel
• Are physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Are reliable, flexible and willing to learn
• Can work well independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience

The following would be beneficial but is not essential:

• Previous IT configuration, IT build, deployment or warehouse experience
• Knowledge of server hardware or networking equipment
• Experience using asset management or ticketing systems
