Job description
- Provide day-to-day technical support across all areas of the business so our employees can work as efficiently as possible.
- Troubleshoot and fix a wide range of technical issues, including laptop faults, network issues, account provisioning failures and SSO problems.
- Collaborate closely with our Security team to balance security, productivity and user experience.
- Continually find opportunities to automate our processes and improve the user experience.
- Empower our people to help themselves by designing and building self-service solutions.
- Monitor and maintain the technology in our offices around the world, including networks, meeting rooms, printers, digital signage, CCTV and door access control.
- Manage supplier relationships and the procurement process for SaaS and hardware.
- Lead and manage complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders across the business.

Requirements
- We are looking for people with at least 5-7 years of solid enterprise IT experience.
- You should have significant experience implementing and customising enterprise SaaS tools in enterprise environments.
- You should have confidence in articulating and implementing your technical ability, particularly with enterprise-level SaaS tooling, customer support and automation.
- You should be a team player who collaborates transparently and can identify who can help you, or needs your help.
- You should have rich experience and examples of scripting and using APIs to automate mundane and error-prone repetitive tasks.
- You should be comfortable with a huge amount of ambiguity and managing multiple priorities at the same time.
- You should have experience working with multiple teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
- You should have experience managing and deploying macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android at scale.
- You should have experience administering and troubleshooting Single Sign-On technologies such as OAuth, OIDC and SAML.
- You should have deep experience with Identity & Access Management, including hands-on experience with SCIM provisioning.
- You should have experience designing and installing office networks.
- You should have a conscientious approach and a passion for doing the right thing rather than the easy thing.

Our team is shaping what TechOps means at Octopus, building solutions with engineering firepower, automating problems out of existence, and supporting transformational organisational change. This role can be fully office based in Brighton, Manchester, Leicester, Coventry or London, or hybrid with a few days a week working remotely and in the office. The salary band is 65,000 - 90,000 depending on experience.
