The role and what you’ll be getting up to on a day-to-day basis
As a ServiceNow Developer, you’ll join our ISTM Tooling team, working within a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting innovative ServiceNow solutions that help drive service excellence for both our customers and internal teams.
You will:
- Design, develop, and configure custom applications, workflows, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform.
- Build and maintain Service Catalog items, forms, and user interfaces.
- Create automated business processes using workflows, scripts, and APIs.
- Configure and customise ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management.
- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools and business systems.
- Develop and maintain CMDB integrations and data quality processes.
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
- Support ServiceNow upgrades and new releases, ensuring stability and continual improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Create clear technical documentation and provide user guidance where needed.
- Identify opportunities to maximise ServiceNow capabilities and improve service delivery.

Requirements
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Essential skills and experience:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Proven experience developing and implementing ServiceNow ITSM solutions.
- Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and best practices.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML/XHTML, XML, and JSON.
- Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs and web services development.
- A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering quality solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing business and technology environments.
Desirable:
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
- Degree-level education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms using REST, SOAP, XML, AJAX, CSS, and related web technologies.
- Exposure to ITIL principles and service management frameworks.
