Job description

ECA International is looking for an AI Automation QA Engineer to help shape and develop our approach to automated testing across the business.

This is more than a traditional QA automation role. You’ll have the opportunity to build automation capability, introduce AI-assisted testing tools and explore how agentic AI can improve the speed, accuracy and scalability of our testing.

Working across multiple product and engineering teams, you’ll create the frameworks, workflows and pipelines that enable quality to be built into every stage of the software development lifecycle. What you’ll be doing

  • Designing, building and maintaining automated test suites across our platforms
  • Establishing or developing our QA automation framework and creating a clear, scalable workflow
  • Using tools such as Playwright, Selenium or Cypress to improve test coverage
  • Introducing AI-assisted testing techniques, including test generation, self-healing scripts and LLM-supported debugging
  • Creating automation pipelines that allow other QA professionals to contribute effectively
  • Working closely with QA, Engineering and Product teams to agree quality standards and testing strategies
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline testing processes using AI
  • Exploring and piloting agentic AI approaches to test orchestration and autonomous testing
  • Evaluating new tools and technologies that could improve testing speed, reliability and accuracy
  • Supporting teams in adopting automation consistently across the business

Requirements

You’ll be an experienced QA automation professional who is comfortable building capability rather than simply maintaining an established framework.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium or Cypress
  • Experience creating or significantly developing a QA automation framework
  • A strong understanding of automated testing throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Experience building testing workflows and integrating automation into delivery pipelines
  • The ability to work collaboratively across multiple QA, Engineering and Product teams
  • Exposure to AI-assisted test generation, self-healing automation or LLM-supported scripting and debugging
  • A practical, curious mindset and an interest in finding better ways to approach quality engineering

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience or a strong interest in autonomous testing agents and AI-driven test orchestration
  • Prompt engineering experience within QA or software testing
  • Familiarity with LLMs and AI testing platforms
  • Experience using test analytics, predictive quality measures or AI-powered dashboards
  • Evidence of experimenting with emerging AI tools and applying them to real testing challenges

Benefits & conditions

  • Annual bonus scheme
  • Enhanced pension contribution
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Health, life insurance and wellbeing support
  • £1,000 annual learning and development budget
  • Enhanced family leave
  • ClassPass membership
  • Flexible hybrid working
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Season Ticket Loan
  • Long Service Awards

If you’re excited by the future of AI and want to help shape how a global business adopts and scales AI capabilities, we’d love to hear from you.
