Job description
- Develop electrical test methods for high-reliability, radiation-hardened and trusted microelectronic components used across DoW strategic systems.
- Create complete test packages, including test interface hardware, circuit schematics, PCB layouts, and automated test equipment (ATE) control software.
- Design, simulate, and evaluate test circuits for characterization and performance validation.
- Design and develop printed circuit boards and automated test programs.
- Collect test data, support reviews, and contribute sections of analysis and engineering design reviews.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, documentation, and correspondence.
- Track project development status and ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
- Collaborate with customers during design reviews and technical working groups to ensure alignment with requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience with microelectronics or electronic components.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, meters, and analyzers.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple functional areas in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn from senior engineers and contribute as a team player.
- Understanding of microelectronics concepts, theories, structures, and material properties.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required; interim clearance required to start).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing microelectronic components.
- Experience with EDA tools such as Altium, Eagle, or LTSPICE.
- Programming experience with Python, C, C++, Visual Basic, git, or LabVIEW.
- Basic analog or digital design experience for circuit boards or ASICs.
- Understanding of noise sources and repeatable measurement techniques.
- Familiarity with microelectronic fabrication processes and techniques.
- Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
