Job description
We are seeking a highly experienced Sr Front-End Architect to lead the design and development of modern, high-performance web applications and digital experiences. This is a hands-on architecture role with a strong focus on React and TypeScript (60%) combined with Java/Spring backend and microservices development (40%). The ideal candidate will bring deep front-end engineering expertise, strong architectural leadership, and the ability to design scalable UI and API solutions. You will partner closely with Product, UX, and engineering teams to establish technical standards, deliver exceptional user experiences, and build scalable microservices capabilities. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture, development, and delivery of complex user-facing applications using React and TypeScript. Define front-end architecture, component strategies, state management, routing, coding standards, and testing practices. Develop and integrate Java/Spring microservices and API contracts using REST and GraphQL. Design front-end-friendly APIs supporting pagination, filtering, caching, validation, and standardized error handling. Partner with UX and Product teams to translate designs and requirements into polished, accessible, and high-performance experiences. Establish and evolve enterprise front-end engineering standards and best practices. Build and leverage design systems/component libraries, theming, responsive layouts, and cross-browser solutions. Drive application performance through Core Web Vitals optimization, bundle optimization, code splitting, rendering strategies, caching, and profiling. Develop advanced UI capabilities including data visualization, real-time updates, workflow experiences, and offline-friendly patterns. Ensure secure client-side architecture, including authentication flows, token handling, secure storage, and protection against common web vulnerabilities. Establish and maintain automated testing strategies using unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks. Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across front-end development initiatives. Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement front-end observability, logging, metrics, and error reporting.
