Job description
Working as a key technical leader, this individual is responsible for providing comprehensive monitoring, maintenance, and support services for existing Kronos time clocks and servers. Additionally, this role acts as the primary technical lead for a large-scale modernization project to implement new Oracle time clocks, replacing the legacy Kronos systems across the business., Provide daily monitoring, maintenance, and tier-3 support for existing Kronos time clocks and related server infrastructure.
Lead the end-to-end technical implementation of the Oracle time clock replacement project, transitioning the business away from legacy Kronos hardware
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Payroll, IT Networks and Operations) to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration of the new Oracle devices with core systems.
Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network connectivity issues related to time collection devices.
Design and execute comprehensive testing plans for the new Oracle time clocks prior to business-wide rollout.
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Function as the subject matter expert (SME) on time collection systems, providing guidance and training to junior staff and helpdesk teams.
Ensure all time and attendance systems adhere to corporate security, data privacy, and compliance standards., Certifications related to Oracle Time & Labor or Oracle HCM Cloud.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Preferred Education:
Project management training (e.g., PMP).
Required Work Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in systems administration, software engineering, or IT support, with a minimum of 3 years directly managing and supporting Kronos time clock hardware and server environments.
Preferred Work Experience:
Experience supporting and maintaining Kronos Timeclocks (Preferred)
Experience in implementing Oracle time collection devices (Desired)
Experience leading hardware replacement projects or implementing Oracle HCM / Oracle Time & Labor integrated hardware.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills. Occasional lifting of hardware components (up to 25 lbs) may be required during testing and deployment.
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of time and attendance system architecture, server management, and network protocols. Knowledge of Kronos application servers and Oracle integrations.
Skills:
Strong technical troubleshooting, hardware and software configuration, project management experience, and cross-functional communication skills., Technical troubleshooting, strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, project management, and written/verbal communication.
Benefits & conditions
Pay Range:$130,000 - $140,000 / year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.
