Job description
We are seeking a Principal Security Engineer to join a highly collaborative and globally distributed security team. This individual will play a key role in leading incident response efforts, proactively identifying emerging threats, and strengthening security across a cloud-first (AWS) environment., Lead and support incident response efforts across the organization

Investigate complex security events with a strong analytical and investigative mindset

Identify root causes and proactively determine where to look next in threat scenarios

Secure and monitor a hybrid/cloud-based infrastructure (AWS-heavy)

Stay ahead of emerging threats, including those involving AI and machine learning

Contribute to and enhance security best practices and processes

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers on the team

Requirements
8-10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or security engineering
-
Proven experience in incident response within a commercial enterprise environment

Strong troubleshooting and investigative mindset

Experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS
-
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership in ambiguous situations - Exposure to AI-driven security tools and/or detecting AI-based threats

Experience working with globally distributed teams

Certifications: GCIH, GCFA, or similar IR/Forensics certs
-
Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
-
Experience with SOAR/automation and scripting (Python/PowerShell)
-
Background improving detection quality (signal-to-noise, tuning, enrichment)
