Job description

Law firm seeking a Knowledge Management Coordinator to join a growing Knowledge and Research Services (KRS) Department. Essential Job Requirements: AI Evaluation & Integration:

  • Test and evaluate AI tools and platforms - assessing accuracy, output quality, workflow fit, and risk considerations - and document findings for the KRS team and firm leadership.
  • Support the development and maintenance of AI training materials, prompt libraries, and user guidance for legal technology tools.
  • Assist attorneys and staff in understanding how to apply AI tools effectively and responsibly within their practice workflows.
  • Develop and maintain practice resources including SharePoint-based sites, client-facing portals, and work product libraries.
  • Continuously improve the design and usability of knowledge resources, including suggesting site architecture, navigation, and UX enhancements informed by user feedback. Project Coordination & Operations:

  • Develop a working understanding of firm systems - including business intake, matter experience tracking, and document management - to support efficient information retrieval and compliance.
  • Gain exposure to project management and support end-to-end innovative technology initiatives in a law firm setting.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university required. We welcome candidates with backgrounds in law, public policy, information science, technology, economics, history, or international relations - as demonstrated through coursework, extracurricular involvement, or prior work experience.
  • Prior experience in a law firm, legal tech, or technology environment is a plus.
  • AI Fluency: You have hands-on experience using generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar)
  • Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based collaboration tools required.
  • Work with AI Tools at the Frontier: Actively test, evaluate, and help integrate generative AI platforms (such as Harvey, Microsoft Copilot, and others) into legal workflows - contributing real input to the firm’s AI strategy.
  • Teach & Enable Others: Coordinate training sessions and guide attorneys and staff on knowledge management tools - becoming a go-to resource for how the firm learns new technology.
  • Develop Foundational Legal Fluency: Work alongside lawyers and business professionals across practice groups.
  • Office Location: Roseland, NJ (Hybrid) Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Amount of Travel Required: Occasional travel to the New York office.

Benefits & conditions

The expected salary range for candidates meeting the requirements of this position is $75,000 to $85,000. Benefits package includes coverage options for medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, life insurance, disability, FSAs, 401K, and paid time off.
