Job description
The Research Applications Administrator is responsible for technical administration, workflow optimization, policy development, and integration of research applications. This role works closely with research teams, IT, and compliance offices to ensure applications support research needs effectively and securely. The Administrator has advanced technical knowledge, including database management, reporting, and data integration skills.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Computer Science, Informatics, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Experience: 3 years of experience in research data management, database administration, system integration, or similar role. Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- Strong knowledge of data management, analytics, data structures, system integrations, survey design, and project setup. Experience developing or maintaining electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
- Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) data and research data governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Team building and change management Customer Service, Education: Master’s degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Science, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Experience:
- Experience with REDCap or other research data management platforms.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools. Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar tools for data management and analytics. Familiarity with clinical or biomedical research workflows.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for research data (e.g., HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11).
- Research Administration and Regulations within our niche industry.
Other Skills/ Knowledge: General understanding of medical terminology. Demonstrated ability to train individuals and provide education to small groups. Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) and/or other research software systems. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Benefits & conditions
Expected pay for this position is $33.52 - $39.44/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
