Sr. Software Engineer, TS/SCI w/poly

Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions., Design and Development

• Design and build high-performance, interactive data visualizations and dashboards using modern web technologies.
• Develop DOM-based (e.g., D3, SVG) and rendering-based (e.g., Canvas, WebGL, WebGPU) visualizations based on use case and performance needs. Write clean, scalable code using JavaScript and/or TypeScript within frameworks such as React, Solid, or jQuery.
• Structure and manipulate data using JSON to support dynamic, real-time visualization requirements.

Testing and Deployment

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test coverage, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing. Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, integration, and deployment.

• Deploy, monitor, and maintain web applications in production environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.

Collaboration and Communication

• Partner closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to translate complex data into intuitive visual experiences.
• Clearly communicate technical concepts, tradeoffs, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• 14+ years of software engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope, scale, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an additional 4 years of relevant software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

Technical Requirements

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with experience building scalable, maintainable applications.
• Experience developing web applications using modern frameworks such as Flask, Django, or Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines and data processing tools, including ingestion, transformation, and integration of large datasets.

Professional Skills

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, and product stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
