Systems Architect Expert

We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect Expert to support a large-scale government technology environment in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting business-critical processing systems, Unix/AIX environments, server administration, application deployment, database operations, and application development/support. This role requires a strong combination of systems architecture, infrastructure administration, application support, and development experience, with a proven background working in government environments., * Support and maintain business-critical systems within a government technology environment.

• Analyze business and technical requirements and contribute to system design and architecture.
• Administer and support UNIX/AIX-based environments.
• Develop and maintain Shell scripts and scheduled CRON/Crontab jobs.
• Support DB2 database environments and related application processing.
• Deploy, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot applications hosted on enterprise servers.
• Provide application maintenance, production support, and end-user support.
• Develop and maintain applications using Visual Basic, .NET, and/or C#.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues and coordinate resolution across technical teams.

• 48+ months of experience with application development and support using one or more of the following:

• C#, The strongest candidate will be a senior systems/infrastructure professional with substantial government IT experience, particularly someone who has worked across both AIX/UNIX server environments and business application support. Experience bridging infrastructure administration with application development and production support will be highly valuable.
