About TruVolt Brands TruVolt Brands is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Technician to join our team! This role involves installing, maintaining, and supporting computer systems and networks to ensure the highest levels of functionality. The IT Technician will also train users to safely and effectively utilize the IT infrastructure. Role Overview The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of computer software, hardware, network systems, and a variety of internet applications and operating systems. Excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key for this role. We’re looking for someone passionate about technology, eager for new challenges, and committed to continuous learning and growth. Responsibilities
- Set up and configure workstations with necessary peripherals (computers, routers, printers, etc.).
- Install and manage VOIP systems, company mobile devices, and phones.
- Regularly inspect and troubleshoot computer hardware to ensure optimal functionality.
- Repair and maintain printers, including HP, Canon, and the Zebra TZ230 family.
- Deploy and support Google Chromebox PCs and Windows desktops and laptops.
- Customize Zebra TC-5X scanners and utilize Android MDM tools (preferred).
- Support network connectivity for warehouse conveyor systems (preferred).
- Manage IT inventory, including orders and price checks.
- Install and configure software and systems according to company specifications.
- Develop and maintain local networks to optimize performance and stability.
- Ensure network security and data privacy.
- Provide user training and support for new systems and software.
- Organize and schedule system upgrades and maintenance to minimize disruption.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting; repair or replace hardware and debug software issues as needed.
- Maintain records of repairs, updates, and maintenance schedules.
- Monitor equipment levels and place orders as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or a similar role.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- In-depth understanding of computer systems, networks, and internet security.
- Knowledge of data privacy principles.
- Certification as an IT Technician (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) is a plus.
