Job description

MetLife is seeking a senior Functional Analyst to help shape and deliver Sales Technology capabilities for US Group Benefits sales users, account executives, sales managers, and sales operations teams. This role sits in a SAFe scaled delivery environment and partners closely with product, architecture, engineering, QA, operations, and business stakeholders to translate business outcomes into Salesforce-based delivery work.

The analyst will support Sales Cloud, opportunity and pipeline workflows, Book of Business views, seller productivity, Sales and Underwriting collaboration, and sales-service handoffs. [1] Salesforce.com is the primary platform, with integrations and dependencies across enterprise data, content, workflow, underwriting, pricing, and analytics capabilities., * Lead discovery and requirements analysis for GB360 Sales capabilities, workflows, and user journeys.

  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframes, functional specifications, test inputs, and support-ready documentation.
  • Perform gap analysis and recommend Salesforce, COTS/SaaS, business process, data, or integration solutions.
  • Participate in backlog prioritization and refinement, connecting work to business value, user needs, dependencies, and readiness criteria.
  • Provide functional and configuration analysis for [1] Salesforce.com capabilities, while partnering with technical teams on design options and implementation tradeoffs.
  • Analyze integrations involving Data Hubs, Seismic, underwriting, pricing, AI / Agentic capabilities, and related enterprise platforms.
  • Support implementation, system/integration testing, UAT, defect triage, release readiness, adoption support, and issue resolution.
  • Work in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, sprint planning, refinement, demos, retrospectives, and cross-team dependency discussions.
  • Evaluate opportunities to use Salesforce Einstein-enabled capabilities and other approved AI-assisted experiences to improve productivity and user adoption.
  • Create concise, reusable artifacts that enable business users, developers, testers, support partners, and stakeholders to make aligned decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Owner support analyst, Salesforce analyst, or consultant creating technology solutions.
  • Experience leading discovery, requirements elicitation, functional analysis, gap analysis, user-story definition, acceptance criteria, and business-rule documentation.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery, preferably SAFe, with participation in refinement, sprint ceremonies, PI planning, demos, retrospectives, testing, and release readiness.
  • Hands-on experience with [1] Salesforce.com or comparable enterprise CRM / COTS / SaaS platforms, including configuration concepts and functional support.
  • Experience analyzing integrations, data flows, cross-system dependencies, and process impacts across enterprise platforms.
  • Strong analytical thinking, root-cause analysis, problem solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting implementation, system/integration testing, UAT, defect triage, issue resolution, and production support handoff.
  • Ability to produce concise functional specifications, process flows, wireframes, user guidance, test inputs, and decision-ready analysis.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

Benefits & conditions

The expected salary range for this position is $104,900 - $154,950. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
