Job description

Blu Omega is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support a federal health data modernization program. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights. The position requires experience supporting data analysis and visualization within a mission-driven environment., * Collaborate with project requesters, stakeholders, and project managers to refine analytical requests and clarify business needs.

  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and support technical and business outcomes.
  • Analyze, clean, manipulate, and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Support the development, review, and validation of dashboards, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Communicate data findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Perform quality control checks on dashboards and reports prior to release and work with data teams to improve data quality.
  • Support continuous process improvements in reporting and analytics.

Requirements

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination, * 1+ year of experience in data exploration, analysis, visualization, or mining.

  • 1+ year of experience manipulating data using statistical, analytical, or scripting tools.
  • Proven ability to deliver insights through reports, presentations, and verbal communication.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint, or similar data analysis tools.
  • Experience using Python, SQL, R, or SAS for data extraction, manipulation, and visualization.
  • Strong attention to data quality issues and ability to communicate findings clearly.
  • Ability to work accurately with large datasets.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determination.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing Power BI dashboards or Power Apps solutions.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data performance optimization.
  • Experience working within Agile environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and modern data delivery practices.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting federal government or regulated environments.

Benefits & conditions

Salary Range: $70,000 - $83,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
