RPI Group is looking for a curious, driven Research Analyst to support a dynamic Navy customer in Washington, D.C. If you’re excited about national security, energized by tough analytical problems, and eager to see your work shape real decisions, this role is for you. You’ll join a small, growing, fast-moving team that works closely with senior leaders across the Navy’s science and technology (S&T) community. This is an outstanding opportunity for recent graduates who want to make an impact early in their career. What You’ll Do As a Research Analyst, you will:
- Dive into diverse sources - academic research, technical reports, policies, journals, and open-source materials - to extract insights and connect dots across complex topics.
- Produce clear and compelling quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Develop studies, papers, and presentations that translate technical research into options for decision-makers.
- Frame key research questions, conduct analysis, and brief your findings to Navy leadership.
- Coordinate technical analysis across scientists, engineers, analysts, and policymakers.
- Lead or participate in small project teams.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Strong academic performance in fields such as national security studies, policy, engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, or management is ideal.
- Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience using research databases, data-analytics tools, knowledge-management platforms, or artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
