Junior Network Administrator, Installation

The Junior Network Administrator, Installation, is expected to be able to accomplish the following:

• Designs, installs, maintains and coordinates the use of network systems.

• Evaluates hardware and software and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks.

• Manages network performance, diagnoses performance problems, and undertakes tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLR requirements.

• Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network.

• Reports on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues and plans to improve network availability, performance, and problem resolution.

• Trains users, maintains, creates and deletes user accounts.

• Maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms.

• Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures and standards.

• Enforces network security procedures.

• Active TS/SCI +CI Polyclearance

• HS, 6-8 years of relevant experience; BS, 0-2 years

• Network+ orSecurity+ One of the following network certifications:

• CCNA (Enterprise or Security for legacy environments)

• Juniper JNCIA

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) a plus

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or Administrator

• CompTIA Server+ VMware VCTA

• ITIL® 4 Foundation

• Cisco Certified Technician (CCT)

• BICSI Installer 1, The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; and up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
