Job description

The Senior Network Engineer/Developer is expected to be able to accomplish the following:

  • Develop specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.

  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and support hardware/software selection decisions.

  • Perform testing and validation of network designs.

  • Monitor network hardware to verify proper configuration and performance.

  • Plan and execute network enhancements and upgrades.

  • Advise users on hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations.

  • Maintain deep technical expertise across routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, and related infrastructure.

  • Evaluate emerging communications technologies for future deployment., We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer/Developer to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Senior Network Engineer/Developer will design, plan, develop, test, secure, and optimize enterprise-level network solutions in support of mission-critical operations. This position plays a key part in the architecture, evaluation, deployment, and modernization of network communications systems across the agency.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI +CI Polyclearance

  • BS, 12-15 years of relevant experience; MS, 10-13 years; PhD, 10+ years

  • One or more of the following DoD 8570/CS-NET-441 certifications:

  • CASP+ CISSP

  • GCED

  • One or more of the following network certifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise/Security)

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)

  • Juniper Networks Certified Professional (JNCIP)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • AWS Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional (if cloud networking is in scope)

  • Microsoft or VMware networking-related certifications

  • Azure Network Engineer Associate

  • Palo Alto PCNSE

  • Check Point CCSA/CCSE

  • Cisco DevNet Professional

  • Python automation certifications

  • Ansible Network Automation certification, The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; and up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
