Systems Administrator 3

Fifteen (15) years’experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree., Experience using the Linux CLI

• Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python

• Experience in performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environment

• General technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components

• Experience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution

• Familiarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data

• Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution

• Experience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environments

• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible

• Experience with security compliance policies and procedures
• Experience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker

Position Desired Skills:

• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS
• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
