Job description

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for providing hands-on hardware support and front-line helpdesk assistance to end users across three manufacturing facilities under common ownership. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can prioritize and resolve issues independently while delivering excellent service to a diverse workforce., * Serve as the first point of contact for all IT support requests, triaging and resolving hardware, software, and peripheral issues in a timely manner.

  • Set up, configure, image, and deploy desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and other end-user hardware.
  • Perform routine hardware maintenance, repairs, and warranty coordination for workstations, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Manage printer fleet including toner replacement, jam clearing, driver troubleshooting, and vendor coordination for service calls.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of employees by preparing equipment, configuring user accounts, and collecting assets.
  • Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues including Ethernet drops, Wi-Fi connections, and docking stations.
  • Document common issues and resolutions in the internal knowledge base to improve team efficiency.
  • Provide patient, professional support to users of all technical skill levels, including shop floor and office staff.
  • Travel between the three company locations as needed to provide on-site support.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in IT or related field preferred.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a helpdesk or desktop support role preferred, but not required for strong candidates.
  • Solid understanding of Windows 10/11 operating systems, including troubleshooting startup, driver, and update issues.
  • Experience setting up and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and common peripherals.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites.

Preferred

  • CompTIA A+ or similar industry certification.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Experience with ticketing systems for tracking and resolving support requests.
  • Exposure to Active Directory or Entra ID for basic user account tasks (password resets, group membership).
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Pay: $20.20 - $25.00 per hour
