Microsoft Systems / Infrastructure Engineer - Contract

The company is seeking a Microsoft Systems / Infrastructure Engineer to support their client during a 6-8 month infrastructure engagement. This role is focused on the administration and management of Microsoft infrastructure and endpoint management solutions, with particular emphasis on SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Windows patching, and Active Directory. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a large enterprise environment and have hands-on experience managing Windows infrastructure, endpoints, software deployment, security updates, and Microsoft management technologies., * Administer and support enterprise Microsoft Windows environments.

• Manage and maintain Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM).
• Support Microsoft Intune for endpoint configuration, management, compliance, and deployment.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute Windows and Microsoft patching activities.
• Troubleshoot patching, software deployment, endpoint, and configuration issues.
• Administer and support Active Directory, including users, groups, computers, policies, and organizational units.
• Assist with Group Policy administration and troubleshooting.
• Support endpoint software deployments, application packaging, and configuration management.
• Monitor management platforms and identify failed deployments, compliance issues, and endpoint health concerns.
• Participate in infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Work with infrastructure, security, application, and service desk teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, patching, and operational processes.
• Follow established change management, incident management, and security procedures.

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise Microsoft infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with SCCM/MECM.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server and Windows endpoint environments.
• Experience managing Microsoft/Windows patching in an enterprise environment.
• Strong Active Directory administration experience.
• Experience with Group Policy and enterprise endpoint configuration.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience working within formal IT operations, change management, and incident management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VMware or virtualized data center environments.
• Experience with Dell server and storage infrastructure.
• Experience with PowerStore or PowerVault.
• Knowledge of Azure, Entra ID, or Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience supporting endpoint security or compliance initiatives.
• PowerShell scripting experience.
• Experience with infrastructure modernization or migration projects.
• Background working for a consulting firm, systems integrator, MSP, or large enterprise IT organization.
