Job description
Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a NOC Support Specialist. Responsibilities will vary depending on experience level and may include real-time application and network monitoring, troubleshooting network issues, incident escalation, system updates, network configuration, security support, and operational documentation. This is a direct placement role located in Springfield, Virginia. The NOC Support Specialist is expected to have experience in network monitoring, network operations, and IT support. This is a great opportunity to support critical network operations and infrastructure., * Monitor applications and network systems for performance issues, outages, and potential failures, ensuring continuous operational awareness.
- Analyze alerts, perform troubleshooting, resolve issues within scope, and escalate complex incidents as needed based on severity and experience level.
- Support network operations through system updates, firmware patches, network configurations, and security-related activities.
- Investigate and resolve network and system issues, including support for critical infrastructure and coordination with internal teams when required.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Networking, IT, or related field (preferred).
- 1-6+ years of experience in network troubleshooting or enterprise IT support (preferred).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds, Dynatrace)
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting network issues and performing updates.
- Proficiency in advanced network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, NetFlow) depending on level of experience.
- Up to 10% travel required
Required Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and CompTIA Security+. If not currently certified, the selected candidate must obtain the required certifications within six months of hire. Failure to do so may result in termination of employment. A higher-level certification may be accepted in place of CCNA at Microsoft’s discretion.
Benefits & conditions
- Salary range: $100,000 - $160,000 depending on experience
