Job description
As a Senior Java Engineer supporting you will help design, build, and modernize the critical systems responsible for money movement across the enterprise. The team is currently focused on ACH modernization while simultaneously laying the foundation for a centralized payment platform that will support all Enterprise channels, including retail, banking, advisory, and charitable businesses.
This role will be heavily hands-on and centered around developing Java/Spring-based microservices, APIs, event-driven integrations, and payment processing workflows. Engineers will partner closely with product teams, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that support high-volume financial transactions across various payment rails including ACH, FedWire, FedNow, RTP, and SWIFT.
The ideal candidate brings a strong platform engineering mindset, understanding how complex producer and consumer systems interact to facilitate money movement across the organization. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to engineering excellence through automated testing, CI/CD practices, cloud-native development, operational reliability, and the adoption of AI-assisted software development tools. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing team that is building the future state of the enterprise’s payment ecosystem and will play a significant role in one of the organization’s highest-priority modernization initiatives.
