Job description
Pareto FM are seeking a Data Centre Technical Lead to lead the delivery of technical services within critical and corporate environments.
This is a senior technical leadership role, responsible for the performance, resilience, and compliance of mission-critical building infrastructure. You will act as the technical authority across electrical, mechanical, and control systems that support business-critical operations, ensuring uptime, safety, and engineering excellence.
This position plays a key role in protecting operational continuity and reinforcing Pareto FM’s reputation for best-in-class technical service delivery., * Lead technical service delivery across data centre and critical environments
- Ensure maximum uptime, resilience, and business continuity
- Act as technical lead across:
- UPS and standby power systems
- Generators and HV/LV infrastructure
- Cooling and HVAC systems for critical spaces
- BMS and control systems
- Emergency and life safety systems
Asset and Maintenance Strategy
- Validate and manage asset data and registers
- Ensure PPM programmes align with SFG20 and statutory requirements
- Maintain compliance of maintenance schedules, CAFM records, and logbooks
- Develop lifecycle plans and identify end-of-life risks
Planned and Reactive Maintenance Oversight
- Oversee delivery of all PPM and reactive works in line with SLAs
- Ensure emergency response standards are met for critical systems
- Reduce reactive failures through preventative engineering and trend analysis
- Ensure statutory inspections and testing are completed and audit-ready
Technical Support and Projects
- Provide technical leadership on condition surveys and lifecycle planning
- Support energy efficiency initiatives and environmental performance improvements
- Lead technical risk mitigation activities
- Support small works and technical upgrades within live environments
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry best practice
- Approve RAMS and manage Permit to Work systems
- Maintain audit readiness and documentation standards
Performance and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor SLAs and KPIs across maintenance, compliance, and asset management
- Drive innovation, engineering improvements, and value optimisation
- Identify opportunities to enhance system performance and reduce risk
Requirements
- Experience within data centres or critical engineering environments
- Strong background in building services within a corporate or complex estate
- Experience managing electrical infrastructure, including HV/LV, UPS, and generators
- Experience with HVAC and critical cooling systems
- Experience with BMS and control systems
- Experience working within SFG20-based maintenance frameworks
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, * Calm and decisive in high-risk environments
- Strong technical problem-solving capability
- Strategic thinker with a practical, operational focus
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
- Structured and compliance-driven approach, * Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification
- Authorised Person or Senior Authorised Person status
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
- Experience using CAFM systems
