Job description

As an Automation Software Tester, you will join the test team in Brighton to ensure the quality of the company’s legacy and next-generation Sales, Purchasing and Stock control applications. You will build Automation Test scripts to test high-quality applications and liaise with developers and management. These products are developed using .Net technologies and include testing of legacy Web, Mobile, and Windows Desktop applications., * Test Planning and Strategy: Help develop and implement test strategies, plans, and test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  • Test Execution and Documentation: Execute test cases across multiple platforms and environments (WPF, web, mobile); troubleshoot failures; log defects; document results and issues; conduct regression/integration testing.
  • Automation and Tooling: Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for Windows-based WMS applications; automate functional and regression tests using tools such as Ranorex, FlaUI, TestComplete, or equivalents; perform SQL data verification; identify automation opportunities.
  • Defect Management and Resolution: Identify, track, and prioritize defects; work with developers to resolve issues; provide feedback to improve product quality.
  • Team Leadership and Mentoring: Provide guidance to junior QA team members; promote continuous improvement and testing best practices., This is a brand-new Automation Software Tester role created due to the ongoing success and expansion of the company. You will have good training programmes to enhance your manual testing and test automation skills and experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years in software QA/testing, with at least 5 years of Automation Testing experience.
  • Experience testing Web and Desktop applications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft .Net or similar development framework.
  • Proven expertise in test planning, execution, and defect management.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium or similar for web-based modules; experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and test integration tools.
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive, quick learner with problem-solving mindset and attention to detail., * Experience with BDD tools like SpecFlow or Cucumber.
  • Performance and load testing with tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Experience in WMS / supply chain or related domain workflows.

About the company

Automation Software Tester - Automation Testing. Brighton offices - In office and hybrid working. We can only consider local candidates who can easily commute to the client offices in Brighton (next to train station) at least two to three days per week. Salary up to £65k per annum depending on experience.

The company has been developing B2B software applications and tools for the last 30 years, used by blue-chip brands in the UK, USA and Europe.
