Geospatial Developer

As a Geospatial Developer you will design and build modern web-based mapping applications that support infrastructure and environmental programmes. You will work alongside developers, data specialists and geospatial experts to deliver user-focused, scalable, and robust solutions., * Build web-mapping applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and mapping libraries such as Mapbox, Leaflet, OpenLayers or Esri APIs.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are robust, scalable and user-centric.
• Mentor junior developers, share knowledge and help shape team best practice.
• Engage with clients to translate technical solutions into meaningful outcomes.

• Strong front-end development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Expertise with web mapping technologies such as Mapbox, Leaflet, OpenLayers or Esri APIs.
• Experience building user-focused web applications and working with modern frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with APIs, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) or spatial databases is beneficial.
• Exposure to mentoring or client-facing delivery is an advantage., All employees require a BPSS check. The role may be subject to UK Security Vetting at SC level; candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo clearance.

Full-time, permanent role; hybrid working 2-3 days per week at office (Bristol or London). 40-hour working week with flexi-time available.
