Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Oracle Time & Labour SME to join our Oracle Transformation Programme, supporting the successful delivery, optimisation, and ongoing management of Oracle Fusion Time & Labour (OTL).

This role ensures that working patterns, shifts, allowances, absences and time-entry rules are maintained to support payroll accuracy and operational efficiency.

We are seeking an Oracle Time & Labour SME to support the delivery, maintenance and operational accuracy of OTL, including time entry rules, timecard layouts, schedules and approval workflows.

You will work closely with HR, Payroll, Operations and D&I teams to ensure that time keeping processes reflect Northern Powergrid’s working arrangements and compliance requirements., The successful candidate will:

  • Lead the design and configuration of Oracle Time & Labour, including time entry rules, timecard layouts, schedules, and approval workflows.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into functional designs for time policies, overtime rules, and compliance needs.
  • Support testing cycles (SIT/UAT), validate time rules, troubleshoot defects, and ensure readiness for deployment.
  • Coordinate integrations with Payroll, Absence, and HCM, ensuring accurate time data flow and downstream impacts.
  • Oversee OTL-related data migration, mapping, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Provide SME guidance to HR, Payroll, and IT teams, ensuring smooth go-live and post-deployment stabilisation.
  • Oracle OTL Expertise: deep knowledge of time rules, schedules, and timecard configuration.
  • Business Analysis: strong capability in requirements gathering and process mapping.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: skilled in validating time rules and managing defects.
  • Stakeholder Management: confident working with HR, Payroll, IT, and programme teams.
  • Communication & Documentation: clear, structured communication and high-quality documentation skills.

Requirements

  • Proven experience configuring and deploying Oracle Time & Labour in cloud implementations.
  • Strong understanding of time rules, schedules, timecard layouts, and approval workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with testing, integrations, and defect resolution in OTL-related workstreams.
  • Solid business analysis skills for requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
