Job description

  • Predict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of Software Engineering experience
  • 10+ years of experience with the System Development Life Cycle
  • 8+ years of software development experience with .NET and/or Microsoft stack development tools
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL Server, including native SQL, stored procedures, functions including optimization
  • 5+ years of experience working with CI/CD tools such as Azure Dev Ops or similar
  • Ability to function as a mentor for junior developers, providing assistance where needed, * Experience in financial services or banking industry
  • Experience with Kubernetes, terraform and Microservices infrastructure
  • Experience with Agile development using Scrum or Kanban
  • Full stack development experience
  • Public Cloud Experience
  • UnitedHealth Group work experience

The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.

The Sr. Software Engineer will be a part of Optum’s Bank platform. Optum Bank supports HSA accounts at scale, while modernizing a large, transaction heavy banking ecosystem. You will be a part of standing up new lending capabilities and transforming legacy systems into a more scalable, real time, microservices based platform to support significant growth in accounts and financial products.
