Sr Java Developer

We are looking for a Senior Java/J2EE developer to join a high performing development team who is focused on building an application for the state of California. The application is used for disability claims and will be an extremely data heavy/content driven application. The client will be processing the disability claims and creating a payment reimbursement process from the state to the individuals. Candidate will work with project stakeholders on understanding requirements and their implementation plan. They will design, develop and test software applications, with focus on the backend application development. The candidate must be strong with Java/J2EE and have solid experience with Spring/Springboot. They will be using REST API and microservices on a daily basis and will work alongside a front-end development team who will be building the UI components with React. Candidate should be able to work on an agile development team and work alongside database teams, design teams, QA teams and cross functional resources to deploy this application.

7-10 years of experience as a backend Java developer with Spring/Springboot/Springbatch

-Experience with development of REST APIs in multithreaded applications and microservices

-Experience with Oracle and SQL databases specifically doing file rules/transfers and batch updates

-Experience doing unit testing on your own code, debugging and defect fixes

-Experience working on an agile development team

-Bachelors Degree -financial services experience
