Requirements

  • 10+ years of proven leadership experience in software engineering, technology or product development, with a strong track record of leading large, distributed and cross-functional engineering organisations.
  • Proven experience leading organisations of 300+ FTE, including multiple management layers, senior engineering leaders and geographically distributed teams.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex, enterprise-grade software products at scale, ideally in healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
  • A strong track record of translating business and product strategy into technology strategy, organisational structures and scalable execution models.
  • A university degree in Computer Science or a closely related field; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is highly desirable and underlines your business and leadership profile.
  • Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken, enabling confident communication at executive level with international teams, strategic customers and key stakeholders.

Your contribution:

  • End-to-end ownership of the delivery of all CGM Hospital Information System products, spanning our next-gen cloud platform and established on-prem solutions, with a focus on world-class execution across the entire portfolio.
  • Translation of CGM’s business and product strategy into a scalable technology roadmap, balancing innovation with legacy constraints while ensuring high-quality releases on time and within budget.
  • Leadership of a distributed engineering organisation of 300+ FTE, building high-performing teams, developing future leaders and attracting top talent into CGM.
  • Establishment of a modern, data-driven engineering culture that fosters innovation, continuous improvement and accountability across architecture, UX, quality and operations.
  • Strategic partnership with Product, Sales, Marketing and Services, aligning priorities, managing stakeholder expectations and representing Engineering towards executive leadership and strategic customers.
  • Direct reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), working closely with the executive leadership team to shape CGM’s technology strategy and the long-term development of the engineering organisation.
