IT Field Support Technician

• Technical Skills: Strong hands-on troubleshooting with PCs, peripherals, Microsoft technologies, and networks

• Independence: Comfortable working autonomously while aligned with a broader Field Support team

• Communication: Clear, professional communicator who builds trust with onsite users

• Environment Fit: Able to work safely in manufacturing/industrial settings with frequent travel

• Experience & Education: 3-5 years in IT support or field support, with postsecondary technical education or equivalent experience

What You’ll Do

• Asset Lifecycle Management: Provide hands-on IT support at mill sites, including hardware installs, troubleshooting, and repairs

• Infrastructure: Perform basic physical IT work such as network drops, access point installs, and equipment moves

• Projects: Support application rollouts, hardware refreshes, and onsite IT initiatives

• Documentation: Log all work accurately in the ticketing system and flag recurring issues or risks

• Collaboration: Partner with internal IT teams and vendors, escalating complex issues when needed
