Job description

As an FPGA Engineer within our Advanced Product Development Group, you’ll design, prototype, test, and implement FPGA-driven hardware systems for cutting-edge quantum computing applications. You’ll collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, and R&D teams to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions that push technical boundaries., * Designing and developing FPGA-based hardware components for quantum computing systems

  • Building low-latency, precision-timed solutions using Verilog and/or VHDL
  • Defining timing constraints and driving timing closure for complex FPGA designs
  • Collaborating with software, R&D, and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver robust technical solutions
  • Prototyping, testing, debugging, and iterating on hardware designs to improve system performance
  • Supporting supplier evaluation, component validation, and inbound quality control activities
  • Leading technical discussions, whiteboard sessions, and design reviews to share expertise and shape next-generation hardware platforms

Requirements

  • Experience developing FPGA solutions using Verilog and/or VHDL
  • Strong understanding of FPGA design flows, timing constraints, and timing closure
  • Experience building, modifying, and improving existing FPGA architectures
  • Knowledge of board-level schematics, instrumentation, and hardware test infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory tools and hardware debugging
  • Ability to clearly communicate FPGA concepts across multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Familiarity with Git workflows and CI/CD practices
  • Degree in Electronics or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • Knowledge of ADC/DAC systems and integration, * Experience with FPGA verification and test methodologies
  • Background in Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
  • Experience designing RF, SDR, or high-frequency applications
  • Experience developing low-latency systems within fintech or similarly performance-critical environments
  • Experience with Altera FPGA platforms
  • Electronics troubleshooting, PCB design, schematic capture, or board layout experience
