Job description

  • Play and test games thoroughly, identifying linguistic bugs and reporting them in the bug database.
  • Check in-game text for linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to local standards.
  • Learn and follow the Universally Speaking LQA process and industry-standard professional practices.
  • Write detailed bug reports, ensuring they are clear, actionable, and traceable.
  • Track bugs to closure, verifying fixes and confirming correct implementation.
  • Become the LQA expert across projects, providing guidance and best-practice sharing.
  • Create, manage, and execute test cases throughout the project life cycle, documenting testing practices and reporting methods.
  • Participate in test requirement gathering with developers to ensure effective LQA coverage.
  • Continuously improve processes, propose efficiencies, and own additional improvement activities.
  • Cooperate with the QA team to maintain a high-performance workflow.

Requirements

  • Expert proficiency in Italian.
  • Proficient written and spoken English.
  • Passion for video games.
  • Team player able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, tenacious, and enthusiastic.
  • Strong attention to quality and detail.
  • Computer literate (MS Office Suite, word processing, database handling).
  • Right to work in the UK., * Experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
  • Experience with LQA testing tools (test case management, text editing).
  • Knowledge of CAT tools, e.g., MemoQ.
  • Understanding of video-game industry trends.
  • Academic background in linguistics (bachelor’s or higher) - desirable but not essential.
