This role is responsible for translating engineering designs into efficient machining processes, creating setup documentation, and ensuring first-article success on tight-tolerance hardware.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Siemens NX programming, machining strategy development, GD&T interpretation, and programming for complex metal components manufactured from materials such as Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys. Responsibilities

  • Create and modify NC programs for CNC mills, lathes, VTLs, and multi-axis machining centers
  • Develop machining strategies that meet engineering and manufacturing requirements
  • Create, maintain, and revise setup sheets and machining documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing engineers, and machinists to improve manufacturability and production efficiency
  • Design and implement custom tooling and fixturing solutions
  • Provide Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) feedback
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for machining processes and workflow efficiency
  • Perform product acceptance activities in accordance with company standards
  • Maintain configuration control of manufacturing files and job documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures in a manufacturing environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of NC programming experience
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX (Unigraphics)
  • Experience with Vericut or equivalent program verification software
  • Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
  • Experience developing machining strategies for complex components
  • Experience creating and managing setup sheets
  • Knowledge of cutter selection, feeds and speeds, and custom cutter design
  • Experience machining Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys
  • Experience designing tooling and fixtures
  • Familiarity with DFMA principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with computers and precision measuring tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mastercam 2017 or newer
  • Previous CNC machining experience
  • Experience applying AI tools to CNC programming or manufacturing processes
