Sr. Data Solutions Analyst

Seeking a Senior Data Solutions Analyst to support a large-scale data modernization initiative, including the migration of historical data from Teradata to Azure Synapse and future-state Microsoft Fabric environments. This role serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, data engineers, and data product teams by translating business needs into scalable data solutions and actionable insights. The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and analytics expertise with exceptional consultative business skills. Rather than simply gathering requirements, this person must challenge assumptions, ask thoughtful questions, uncover true business needs, and recommend data-driven solutions that support broader business objectives.

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data solutions, business analysis, or similar disciplines

• Advanced SQL experience, including writing complex queries used to support analytics, reporting, and data engineering initiatives

• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse or modern Azure data platforms

• Experience partnering closely with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and challenge requirements

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into data solutions

• Experience validating data, troubleshooting data quality issues, and ensuring accuracy across multiple systems

• Experience working alongside Data Engineers to support pipelines, transformations, testing, and solution delivery

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills

Experience with data governance concepts and best practices - Microsoft Fabric

• AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot

Experience leveraging AI to improve analytics, documentation, reporting, or operational efficiencies
