Hardware Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer who will be responsible for circuit design, schematic review, and board layout design using Altium. You will conduct simulations using HFSS and will focus on redesigning existing projects to identify and resolve issues. You will work with boards ranging from 4 to 8 layers, occasionally handling 10-layer boards, and will take ownership of the hardware designs., * Design and review circuit schematics.

• Layout design and review of printed circuit boards.
• Utilize Altium for designing circuits and conducting simulations using HFSS.
• Redesign existing hardware to identify and correct issues.
• Work with multi-layer boards, primarily between 4 to 8 layers.
• Own the hardware design process from conception to execution.

• Proficiency in digital design and hardware design.
• Experience with PCB layout and circuit design.
• Skilled in using Altium for PCB and circuit design.
• Familiarity with DDR2/DDR3/DDR4 memory technologies.
• Experience with various peripherals such as HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C, and Ethernet.
• Experience interfacing with microcontrollers.
• Proficient in designing high-speed signals and interfaces.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with video or multimedia products.
• FPGA experience is an advantage.

The role is primarily on-site with flexible working arrangements. Engineers may work from home on Fridays or when necessary, provided core hours of 10:00am to 3:00pm are maintained. The team comprises 3-5 electrical engineers, 3-5 firmware and software engineers, 3 test engineers, and 2 mechanical engineers at the Torrance location, with an OEM team of 15 in Taiwan. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $94.00/hr.
