Sr Software Engineer

As a senior software engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to Humana’s innovative and home-built next-gen data analytics platform in Azure stack. This solution is bound to solve many challenges in healthcare services and provide a data foundation for ML and AI solution, seeking better business insights and ultimately make automated healthcare related decisions. Our data platform is distributed by domain and is novel solution beyond monolithic data lake.

Responsibility:

You will contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, solving complex technical challenges around developer and engineering productivity and velocity.

Design and build advanced automated build, test, and release infrastructure

Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability

Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design for testability

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

5 years of professional software development experience building highly scalable systems

Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Go, Scala or Ruby

Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources

Experience with CI/CD principles, architecture and operations

Familiar with modern big data tools and API based webservice architecture

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with azure tech stack

Solid working understanding in data modeling.

Experience with building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Spark-Streaming or Flink

Experience with Oracle, PostgresSQL, Mongo development and optimization

Knowledge of messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
