Backend Java Developer

Insight Global is seeking two Senior Backend Java Developers for a top financial services client supporting a an AI-focused technology organization. These individuals will join a highly visible team responsible for building and enhancing complex backend applications and data-driven platform capabilities that support enterprise AI initiatives. The ideal candidate brings extensive backend Java and Spring Boot experience, thrives in complex enterprise environments, and can quickly contribute to mission-critical development efforts. This team is investing heavily in future platform transformation and growth, creating a unique opportunity to work on impactful projects while helping shape the next generation of AI data and platform technology solutions. This role will be hybrid (3x per week) in Charlotte, NC (highly preferred) or Jersey City, NJ.

8-10+ years of Java development experience (8 years minimum)

Strong backend application development expertise

Experience building scalable enterprise applications

Java Services and Microservices expertise

Spring Boot / Spring Framework experience

Database and data-driven application development experience

Experience working within complex enterprise environments

Ability to ramp up quickly and deliver value immediately

Strong problem-solving and system design skills Financial services or banking industry experience

Experience supporting large-scale modernization initiatives

Full-stack experience (though role is heavily backend focused)

Experience working in agile development environments

AI/ML platform or data platform exposure
