Platform Engineer

• Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Deploy and support Microsoft Azure services across compute, networking, storage, security, monitoring and identity
• Develop reusable platform components, automation frameworks and infrastructure patterns
• Support the onboarding of workloads onto cloud platforms
• Operate and troubleshoot containerised workloads using Kubernetes / AKS
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform delivery
• Manage GitHub repositories, branching strategies and pull-request workflows
• Implement cloud security controls and governance standards
• Support monitoring, cost management, compliance and audit requirements
• Contribute to cloud platform reliability, performance and continuous improvement
• Work collaboratively with technical teams to design and implement cloud solutions
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to engineering best practices

• 3+ years’ experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering or DevOps
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Understanding of cloud-native architecture and modern platform engineering
• Knowledge of Azure networking, including Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints, DNS, load balancing, NSGs and firewalls
• Familiarity with cloud security, identity management and monitoring
• Experience with GitHub, source control and CI/CD
• Experience designing, deploying and operating enterprise cloud environments
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• An automation-first mindset and a practical approach to problem solving
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desirable

• Experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare or another regulated environment
• Cloud certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, Terraform Associate or CKA
• Experience working within a platform engineering or internal cloud services team
• Experience supporting application, integration, data or AI workloads
