Job description

On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for an Agile Coach (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based Hybrid in any UK MoJ Office with occasional travel to London.

This role sits within the Digital Infrastructure and Security Operations (DISO) team, where you’ll play a key role in driving one of our most significant organisational transformations.

We’re implementing new agile, product-led ways of working across the Tech Services directorate, with the ambition of becoming a truly product-centred organisation. As part of this transformation, you’ll help shape and embed our Product Operating Model, supporting teams to adopt consistent product practices, improve collaboration, and deliver better outcomes for users.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence how products are delivered at scale, working with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders to embed lasting cultural and organisational change across the directorate.

As an Agile Coach, your main responsibilities will be to: . Coach multidisciplinary teams, Delivery Managers, Product Managers and leaders to adopt and embed agile principles, practices and mindsets. . Implement Kanban, flow based delivery and lean practices to improve delivery predictability, reduce bottlenecks and optimise value delivery across teams and service areas. . Identify systemic challenges and implement improvements that increase productivity, remove constraints and improve team performance. . Align teams, backlogs and delivery activities to strategic outcomes, ensuring work is prioritised and coordinated across multiple teams and service areas. . Define meaningful Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), delivery metrics and performance measures that enable data driven decision making and demonstrate progress against organisational outcomes. . Recommend, design and implement standardised agile delivery approaches that can be consistently adopted across multiple teams and business areas. . Support the implementation of the Product Operating Model and product led ways of working across the Tech Services directorate.

Requirements

Proven experience developing and embedding consistent, scalable agile delivery practices across an organisation. . Strong coaching and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and support stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders. . Experience developing product and delivery roadmaps that balance short term delivery priorities with long term strategic objectives. . Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. . Experience working within large, complex organisations undergoing organisational or digital transformation. . Experience supporting the implementation of Product Operating Models and product led ways of working. . Experience coaching organisations through large scale agile transformation programmes. . Knowledge of modern product management, lean portfolio management and value stream thinking.

Desirable: . Experience working alongside Product Managers, Delivery Managers and multidisciplinary digital teams within a Government Digital and Data (GDD) environment.

Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
