Job description

Hosted payload missions rely on close collaboration with spacecraft manufacturers and platform providers. As a Systems Engineer focused on platform integration, you will become one of the key technical interfaces between SpaceLocker and our hosting partners.

Your missions

Your role is to ensure that payloads can be integrated efficiently across different spacecraft platforms while maintaining technical consistency and mission success.

In this position you will:

  • Manage technical interfaces with spacecraft manufacturers and hosting partners, including supporting negotiations on payload compatibility and mission constraints.
  • Coordinate payload accommodation throughout mission preparation, aligning internal engineering teams to ensure interface requirements are implemented consistently.
  • Define and maintain interface requirements, ICDs and integration documentation, and help build standardized integration approaches across hosting platforms.
  • Contribute to verification, integration campaigns and mission readiness reviews.

Requirements

Hard skills

  • Engineering degree with experience in systems engineering or spacecraft integration.
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Comfortable managing technical interfaces between organizations.
  • Experience producing structured engineering documentation and interface control documents.
  • Familiarity with spacecraft development, payload integration or AIT/AIV is a plus.
  • Fluent in English

  • Likes turning complex discussions into concrete decisions.
  • Knows how to balance technical rigor with getting things done.
  • Doesn’t stop at team boundaries when there’s a problem to solve.
  • Curious, hands-on, and excited by building something that doesn’t exist yet.
