Job description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated IT Epic/Acumen EHR Specialist to support and optimize our Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems across our healthcare organization. This role is ideal for a technology professional who enjoys collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to improve workflows, enhance patient care operations, and support system performance.
This position offers a hybrid schedule with one remote day per week and flexible onsite hours within 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., The IT Epic/Acumen EHR Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing Epic/Acumen EHR applications within our medical practices and healthcare locations. The specialist will work closely with providers, clinical staff, leadership, and IT teams to improve system efficiency, support users, maintain compliance, and drive operational improvements., EHR Support & Optimization
- Provide daily support for Epic/Acumen EHR users including providers, nursing staff, front office teams, and billing department.
- Troubleshoot systems issues workflows, users access problems, and application errors.
- Configure and maintain templates, workflows, documentation tools, and order sets.
- Monitor system performance and manage ticket resolution processes.
Workflow Improvement
- Analyze clinical and administrative workflows to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with department leaders to implement workflow enhancements and best practices.
- Support operational efficiency initiatives and technology optimization projects.
Training & Education
- Train new employees and providers in Epic/Acumen workflows and functionality.
- Create user guides, tips sheets, and training materials.
- Provide ongoing support related to software updates and new features.
System Projects & Reporting
- Participate in upgrades, testing, implementations, and optimization initiatives.
- Support data migration and interface integration projects.
- Generate operational, clinical, and financial reports using reporting tools.
- Monitor dashboard metrics, work queues, and staff productivity statistics.
- Assist with AI initiatives and technology advancement projects.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare security standards.
- Maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and appropriate user access controls.
- Support audits and quality assurance activities., * Combination of desk work, remote support, and on-site user assistance.
- Occasional after-hours support may be required during upgrades or maintenance activities.
- Flexible onsite hours with hybrid schedule available.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Patient management software?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Experience supporting Epic/Acumen EHR systems in a healthcare environment.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and medical office operations.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills., * Epic/Acumen certification or module proficiency preferred.
- Experience with Ambulatory Care and MyChart modules.
- Familiarity with healthcare billing and revenue cycle operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with reporting tools and data analysis.
