What will you be doing as a Data Migration & Implementation Lead
As a Data Migration & Implementation Lead, you’ll lead a small technical team and take ownership of delivering data migrations from third-party CRM systems into our CRM platform.
The role combines people leadership, technical expertise and delivery management, ensuring migrations are well planned, delivered on time and cause minimal disruption for our clients.
You will:
- Lead and develop a team of two Data Engineers and one Software Engineer, setting clear priorities and supporting their development.
- Plan and oversee multiple CRM data migrations, managing timelines, capacity, dependencies and risks.
- Design and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines to support efficient, repeatable migrations.
- Lead data mapping, quality checks and remediation, ensuring client data is migrated accurately and securely.
- Develop migration plans and runbooks, including rollback plans and post-migration monitoring.
- Work closely with Product, Technology, Onboarding and Sales to coordinate migrations and deliver against client commitments.
- Identify opportunities to make our migration processes faster, more scalable and more efficient.
Requirements
- Strong experience in data engineering, data warehousing or a similar technical field.
- Experience leading, managing or mentoring technical teams, including performance and development.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes and SQL/data storage systems.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL or another relevant programming language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
- Confident communicator who can work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Able to adapt quickly to new technologies and ways of working.
