Bachelorâs degree in an engineering or technology related field \n

3+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing solid rocket motor cases and/or nozzles \n

A genuine interest in manufacturing and thirst for learning \n

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&T \n

Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (NX ) \n

Experience with MS Office and/or project management software skills \n

Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills, with backing examples \n

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance \n

Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Morrisville, NC. \n, * Experience supporting aerospace, defense, automotive, and/or energetics facilities \n

Experience working within a AS9100/NADCAP accredited manufacturing facility \n

Proficiency in TeamCenter for digital manufacturing processes

nAndurilâs Manufacturing team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team to support Anduril Composites branch in North Carolina. This Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge composite parts and assemblies for numerous business lines across Anduril. This role encompasses everything in the manufacturing value-chain, including, but not limited to, MBOM Management, Work Instruction creation, Design for Manufacturability work, work cell optimization, tool design & selection, process creation & optimization, vendor sourcing & interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the composite and metallic structures.\n \n \nThe right person for this role can demonstrate experience in composite pressure vessel, insulation, and nozzle manufacturing and overall assembly. This person will also demonstrate the ability to work across multiple functions (Manufacturing Operations, Design, Quality, Leadership, Supply Chain, etc) to achieve a successful manufacturing approach, flow, and build.\n WHAT YOUâLL DO\n \n \n

Work with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building and insulating metallic and composite solid rocket motor cases and tooling in close conjunction with design engineering release \n

Work with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building composite nozzles and tooling in close conjunction with design engineering release \n

Design tooling necessary for the manufacture of press molded parts \n
-
Write manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions, process specifications, MBOMs, quality plans, inspection requirements, non-conformances, while also completing said work instructions, quality plans, and inspections alongside a team of technicians and inspectors \n

Work as a conduit between the engineering technical data packages and the technicians to ensure hardware and tooling are manufactured as designed/analyzed \n
-
Solve manufacturing problems in schedule-driven environment under the constraints of detailed specifications and requirements to achieve the needed quality \n

Develop manufacturing processes to lower risk as the product moves from its prototype/LRIP phase into FRP \n

Drive work cell design and optimization to ensure quality and efficiency targets are maintained and managed \n

Work with the Program Managers to inform critical decision points to ensure on-time delivery \n

Drive RCCAs alongside the quality team to eliminate production blockers and recurring issues \n, * Metallic Case and Nozzle manufacturing processes (autoclave processing, EPDM rubber processing, secondary bonding, hydraulic press processing, etc) \n

Experience operating within a Digital Manufacturing Execution System (MES) \n

Understanding of CNC Machining operation and limitations - 5-axis routers, lathes, mills, etc \n
