- 2nd Line Systems Administrator Vacancy 2nd Line Systems Administrator Technical depth with ownership Full-time Duiven MBO-4 / HBO What will you do? You know how it goes: a service desk colleague gets stuck on a ticket, escalates, and that is where your work begins. You dive in, find the root cause and resolve it structurally. No quick fixes, but real solutions. At Barion you are the technical escalation point for our service desk. You take on the more complex incidents in Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Entra ID and network infrastructure. On top of that you run client projects: cloud migrations, Intune rollouts, network implementations and security improvements. We are a compact IT company in Duiven serving SME clients. No large corporation with ten layers of management, but a small team where you have direct impact on the quality of client environments. What makes this role interesting? You don’t work in an anonymous service desk, but in a compact team where your expertise counts You get real technical depth: you don’t get stuck doing password resets and how-to’s You combine support with project work, so no monotonous ticket queue You work with serious infrastructure: own Tier-3 data centre, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, Kubernetes You get the space to grow towards senior engineer or specialist You build long-term relationships with clients without having to be an account manager What does success look like? The service desk scales up to you with confidence, because you solve what they can’t You know the more complex client environments inside and out You take on projects independently and deliver them on time and to a high standard You identify structural issues and initiate improvement trajectories You raise the technical level of the whole team Clients call you because they know that means it will get sorted About us We are a specialised IT organisation that delivers Online Workplaces and secure IT infrastructures to business clients. We manage our own infrastructure in a Dutch Tier-3 data centre, where continuity and security are central. Our environments include Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Hyper-V virtualisation and container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes. We continuously invest in professionalisation, security and modern infrastructure. We do not believe in mass service desks, but in quality, responsibility and lasting client relationships. Our clients rely on their IT environment every day and we ensure it keeps running reliably. You work from a modern, professional office at an easily accessible location directly on the motorway. A pleasant working environment with modern hardware, good facilities and a professional yet informal atmosphere. We are a compact team with short communication lines. You get a lot of independence, but you are never on your own. Responsibilities
- Take on 2nd line escalations and resolve them independently
- Investigate incidents in Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Windows Server
- Perform root cause analyses and implement structural improvements
- Run client projects: M365 migrations, Intune rollouts, network infrastructure
