Job description

Peoples Mortgage Company is seeking a detail-oriented Lock Desk Analyst to join our Secondary Marketing team. This is a hybrid position based in our Tempe corporate office, with three in-office days and two remote workdays each week. Reporting to the Lock Desk Team Lead, this position supports the daily operations of the Lock Desk by ensuring accurate loan pricing, lock management, and exceptional service for our Loan Officers. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced mortgage environment., * Manage the Lock Desk email queue and ensure timely responses to requests.

  • Provide support to Loan Officers regarding pricing, lock requests, and scenario questions.
  • Process lock requests, changes, extensions and reconciliations within Optimal Blue and Encompass.
  • Assist with internal margin maintenance and updates.
  • Research and resolve pricing inquiries and escalations.
  • Verify the accuracy of daily pricing, margins, and rate sheets.
  • Monitor the secondary marketing pipeline to ensure lock integrity, data accuracy, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Provide periodic Saturday Lock Desk coverage as part of a rotating team schedule.
  • Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service mindset and the ability to build positive relationships across the organization.
  • 0-3 years of experience in the mortgage, banking, or financial services industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Optimal Blue preferred.
  • Experience with Encompass LOS preferred.
