Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Lead with over 15 years of expertise in software development and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions and will be responsible for guiding a team of developers in the design, development, and implementation of Java-based applications. This role can be based in either San Francisco, CA, or New Jersey, and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment., Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust Java applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications, providing timely solutions.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the overall technical direction of the projects.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 15+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Proven experience in leading software development teams and managing projects.
  • Proficiency in Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies such as Angular or React is a plus.

Benefits & conditions

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
